Kevin Kavanaugh
What is your real name?
Oddly enough...Kevin Kavanaugh
How long have you been making music?
I’ve been making music round 25 years
How did you get started?
I got started playing with a local band in Huntington, WV. I moved to Europe and that's when I started being a gun-for-hire guitarist.
Who are the members of the band?
Presently, there is Frank Paxton on bass, Chango Murphy on drums and myself on guitars.
…and what is your genre of music?
Instrumental Rock
Not using typical genre classifications, how would you describe your music?
A full-tilt boogie for freedom and justice.
Where does your band get it’s inspiration?
I draw inspiration from a lot of musicians, but also from brilliant and driven people everywhere. Passion is contagious and inspiring.
What’s the last song you wrote?
Dreaming In Blue And White
What inspired you to write that song?
My wife is from a little town in Bavaria, Germany and she hasn't gone home for awhile due to various reasons. She told me recently "well at least I can see it in my dreams". The Bavarian flag is...you got it...blue and white. So there you go...
What other musicians have you compared to?
I have been compared to Howard Hart, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Jeff Beck. I'm not sure if I deserve that kind of praise, but I appreciate it.
What was the name of your last CD?
Bottle Rocket
Who helped you to produce that CD?
Input from critical listeners that I trust. Also the support from people like Steve Passiouras from Austalian Public Broadcasting and all the folks who put the word out.

Well..we like you, we’d like to tell the readers about your upcoming shows...what do you have coming up?
Actually I have a new band line-up, so we're getting the new live show nailed down. We'll be out there soon though!
Do you have a new CD coming out anytime soon?
I am currently working on the material for my next CD.
